I would like to thank the woman who posted the recycled old window/crystal glass project a couple weeks back. I just had to try it too and I'm very happy with the results! When the morning sun shines through it, it's gorgeous! I would definitely make this again but with a smaller window as this one weighs 30.2 lbs all together! It is NOT in the direct sunlight except for 1 hour in the early morning and I bring it in for the winter as I live in Canada.
EDIT: My name is Marie Racine and I'm the artist. Thanks for the comments everyone. This post has been shared thousands of times to other pages so I'm adding my name because others are taking credit for my work. Anyways this is what I did. I found an old but solid frame with uncracked windows on Marketplace. I sanded it, washed it, painted 2 coats of paint and then resealed the glass with a clear, waterproof silicone caulking. I let it cure for 48 hours. Then I did the placement of the bowls and dishes. The top of the bowls are against the glass. When looking for bowls, find some with straight tops as scalloped tops don't glue well. Glass plates work great too! I used a tube of Gorilla Glue clear grip permanent bond but E6000 works just as well. Once it's in place, do not move them. Let them cure for at least 48 hours. Then fill in the empty space with beads, gluing them one at a time with a small bead of glue on the flat side of the glass beads. Let it cure another 48 hours. I added hardware and hung it using chains as crystal makes it very heavy. Hope that helps!

🌱This plant is called "Mother of Thousands"
Scientific name Kalanchoe daigremontiana. It's a succulent that produces numerous small plantlets on the ends of its leaves, which can easily detach and grow into new plants.
🌱This unique characteristic has earned it the nickname "Mother of Thousands", as it can produce many new plants from a single parent plant. It's a popular houseplant due to its low maintenance requirements and ability to propagate easily.
How fascinating!

This is my path that I treat 2 to 3 times a year with vinegar. I do have to pull an occasional w**d, but for the most part, the regular application of vinegar does the trick. I know they sell high potency vinegar, but I use regular household vinegar. I have a gallon watering can. I pour about a quart of vinegar in the watering can, a sq**rt of dish soap, and fill the rest up with water. I wait until it’s been dry for several days. Then walk along the path ā€œwateringā€ the path. The picture only shows part of my pathway. It’s about three times this length and I can usually finish with 3 gallons of vinegar, a total cost of a little over $10. I do it once in the early spring again in the fall, and sometimes, a third time in the summer.

a lifetime of collecting while being weird
my therapist recently told me i should document my apartment. it's maximalism in a minimal space, especially because i run my online vintage business out of here.

First house at 42 (girl condo)
After renting my whole life, I purchased a condo townhouse this year. Looking for suggestions on how to pull together the vibe. My goal is for it to look collected and expensive with a mix of antique and modern.

Things I'm definitely going to do are:

Swap the rug in the dining room for a more traditional look & the light fixture for a chandelier

Paint the stair treads black (the white gathers cat hair so fast)

Paint the primary bedroom a pale pale pink

What else? I would love to add wall moulding or a chair rail but I'm confused on whether that needs to be a whole-floor commitment or if you can just do a single room. Are the table & chairs too farmhouse? Are the living room colours not working?
