A little over a year ago, I had the privilege of helping a lovely couple purchase this home.
Not long after, my client shared with me that he was sick, and they were beginning to think about moving back home. At the beginning of June, we realized just how serious things had become. When I think he knew he wasn’t going to get better, he sent me a text that said, “We may need you to sell the house soon. Please call my wife tomorrow.”
A couple of weeks later, I was there to see him off to his Heavenly home, pray for him, and help his wife begin making arrangements for what came next.
Today, I was there to help her sell their home.
People sometimes think what we do is just real estate. A transaction, a contract, a closing.
But for me, it has always been so much more than that. My clients become people I care about, and sometimes that means being there for them during moments that have absolutely nothing to do with real estate.
I am incredibly honored that my client trusted me with something so big, and I’m grateful I could be there to help carry this particular piece of the load.
A special thank you to the wonderful agent on the other side, Kara Adams, who understood what this situation meant and helped make a very bittersweet transaction as smooth as possible.
Today, my client closed an incredibly hard chapter of her life. There was a sense of relief in that, knowing she can finally head home.
And I’m just grateful I got to be there with her through it. ❤️
