Choice 102, WAVR Playing Classic Hits from the 70's and 80's coupled with an extensive commitment to community events, local news, and sports programming.

WATS-AM signed on as Bradford County's first radio station in July of 1950. Its call letters stand for Waverly, Athens, Towanda, Sayre. Then station owner Robert Kloss added WAVR-FM in 1974. Current owners Dave and Irene Radigan purchased the stations on November 1st, 2020 and immediately institued a locally programmed classic hits format, coupled with an extensive commitment to community events, local news, small business marketing and high school sports.

There will be a Community Free Meal Thursday, June 18th from 4:30-5:30 at St. James Catholic Church in Waverly. The meal will be prepared and served by the North Barton Grange and will be sloppy joes, chips, 4 bean salad and cookies.

I recently had the privilege of presenting a House citation to members of the Wyalusing Valley Volunteer Fire Department (WVVFD), recognizing their newest additions and renovations to their hall and services, as well as honoring their many years of dedicated support to our community in times of need.

Since 1894, the WVVFD has served with unwavering honor and professionalism, maintaining the same prompt and reliable service they were founded on.
