My dad's new fiancée stole my late mother's wedding dress even though I'd been saving it for myself — so I had to teach her a lesson.

My mother died of cancer when I was 12 years old.

For all these years, I kept her wedding dress carefully stored away for my future wedding and dreamed of wearing it in her honor.

I attend college in another city and rent a small apartment, so some of my belongings — including my mom's wedding dress — remained at my father's house.

A few years ago, my dad got engaged again. Her name was Susan.

She was ten years younger than him, ambitious, and rarely willing to compromise.

We never really got along, but my dad was happy, and I was happy for him.

After moving into his house, Susan changed almost everything.

The furniture, the pillows, even the coffee mugs.

Last weekend, I came home for their wedding rehearsal.

That evening, everyone gathered at a restaurant.

Then I saw Susan walk out wearing...

MY MOTHER'S WEDDING DRESS.

I stood there in shock.

I walked over to Susan and my father and quietly asked:

"Susan, why are you wearing my mother's dress?"

Susan smirked and replied:

"Well, I found it in your room. Funny coincidence, right? It happens to fit me perfectly, and honestly, it looks a lot better on me than sitting in a closet."

The blood drained from my face.

"Susan, you had no right to go into my room and steal my mother's wedding dress."

She rolled her eyes and raised her voice.

"I like this dress. I took it because it suits me BETTER than it ever suited your mother."

My father simply shrugged and said the wedding was only days away, so nothing was going to change.

Fine.

If that's how they wanted it, then so be it.

This wasn't going to pass without consequences for Susan.

By then, a brilliant IDEA had already formed in my mind.

The wedding day arrived.

All the guests gathered at the restaurant. Susan and my father were the center of attention.

Then I walked inside.

Every head turned toward me.

Susan looked me up and down.

Then, filled with rage, she screamed:

"HOW DARE YOU?!" ⬇️

My 13-year-old son sold his expensive guitar to buy a wheelchair for his classmate — then the next day, the police showed up and told me WHAT he had really done.

David loved his guitar more than anything.

Once, we bought him an expensive guitar for his birthday, and he spent hours playing it every day.

Recently, I walked into his room to collect some dirty laundry and noticed that only the guitar stand was there.

The guitar itself was gone.

I searched the entire house but couldn't find it anywhere.

So I waited until David came home from school and asked him:

"Sweetheart, where's your guitar?"

He lowered his eyes and said:

"I sold it, Mom."

I was ready to get angry.

But before I could say anything, David explained that there was a girl in his class named Emily.

He told me that her old wheelchair was practically falling apart.

She could barely move the wheels well enough to get from one classroom to another.

The seams were coming apart, and the metal was covered in rust.

Then he added:

"The other kids laughed about it, but I couldn't just ignore it. I knew her parents couldn't afford a new wheelchair."

I knew Emily, but I had no idea her family was going through such a hard time.

I was proud of my son.

The next morning, a loud knock echoed through the house.

When I opened the door, TWO POLICE OFFICERS were standing there.

One of them greeted me, looked me in the eye, and asked:

"Are you David's mother?"

At that moment, David stepped out of his room and froze when he saw the police.

Then the officer continued:

"Ma'am, we need you and your son to come outside."

My stomach dropped.

I grabbed David's hand and asked:

"What happened? What did my son do?"

The officer cleared his throat and replied:

"Ma'am, don't you know what your son has done? YOU NEED TO HEAR THE TRUTH."

The officer kept talking, and I felt the air leave my lungs. ⬇️
