For over 10 years I've been using and comparing Serato and Virtual Dj. (despite the fact that they say Serato is the club industry standard, I personally prefer Virtual Dj). Here why: first and most important the music library is much more user friendly to organize and use. Both have a nice interphase, but with VDj you can modify it to your liking. I haven't had too many issues or problems with either, and the ones I did have was with Laptop or hardware and not the software. (The controllers that I've used over the year are Hercules, Numark, Pioneer and Denon. Sorry Serato but for me it's VDj as an everyday average portable Dj.
