It's a little sad to see that a leading studio is having all of it's contents auctioned off to the highest bidders. There's some absolute gems in this lot of master tapes.

It's almost tempting to make a bid on some of the 2" multitrack tapes, it's a pity most of them are 'SSS' prone Ampex tape!

Steve is one of Australia's premiere musical talents, and an all-round nice guy too.

As if maintaining vintage tape machines wasn't enough of a challenge, we've adopted a 100 year old pianola for the studio, it's going to be part journey of discovery, part journey into a rabbit warren of antique pneumatics and piano mechanics.

But, it's a challenge we're silly enough to accept.

Our Studer B67-II is a 1/2-track master recorder extraordinaire, along with our Revox and Otari machines, and the Midas analog console, we're able to capture and reproduce analog warmth that would rival the Sun itself. 🌞

We're (almost) Back Baby!
After a few years rewinding the Analog Natives, we're about to record a new chapter in our tape story.

No longer focused on blank tape sales, we're remastering our original plan to make wonderful music on reels, cassettes and DAT tapes. Featuring a range of outstanding Aussie music talent, we're excited to be helping them get their grooves onto the best format ever invented: Analog Tape.

Stay tuned, we'll be announcing a heap of new details shortly, including a new website (analognatives.com.au) and a YouTube channel dedicated to the joys of analog tape.

With our all analog 24 track recording studio, and a suite of luscious tape machines to make albums with, we'll be offering everything from 1/4-track 3-3/4ips & 7.5ips tapes to suit most domestic machines, plus Quadraphonic, and ultra high-fidelity 15ips 1/2 track for the devotees who appreciate the best the format has to offer. As well as reel-to-reel, we'll be offering 1:1 master cassettes, and high-fidelity DAT tapes.
