Dear Grace Family and Surrounding Community,
We know many of you are seeking clarity, comfort, and care amid the uncertainty and heartache stemming from the terrible loss of Charlie Kirk and other tragedies around the country in recent weeks. We also know many new people walked into our church this past week, looking for answers. To them, we want to say: You are welcome here. We’re grateful you chose Grace to seek hope and peace, and we’re here to walk with you through these uncertain times with the love of Christ.
At Grace, rather than an immediate reaction, our approach always tries to be an intentional, biblical response, guided by prayer, counsel, and Scripture. Our pastors and elders themselves have been personally processing, praying, reflecting, and gathering our own thoughts in response to these events.
Our elders met last night, Monday, September 15, 2025, to seek wisdom together, reflecting Proverbs 15:22, “Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed,” and Proverbs 12:15, “The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but a wise man listens to advice.” This aligns with our value of speaking words that build up, as Proverbs 25:11 reminds us, “A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in settings of silver.” With this foundation of wisdom and care, we invite you to join us this weekend.
This Sunday, our Campus Pastor, Jeff Graves, will share his biblical insight and compassion in a gospel-centered response. Services are at 9:00 AM and 10:30 AM. We’ll explore how to navigate these moments with grace, discernment, and hope in Jesus, fostering unity in our diverse community while serving Him faithfully with a kingdom mindset.
We’re here for you in the meantime; our pastors and elders are available. Reach out to the church office to schedule a meeting at 830-515-4903 or [email protected]. You can also submit prayer requests or connect with us via “The Launcher” on our new website (located in the bottom right corner): https://launcher.nucleus.church/laun.../4f55af58c644afbfdb90
Let’s hold each other up as we pursue Jesus together.
Prayer Focus This Week:
Pray for wisdom in our responses (James 1:5), comfort for those affected by tragedy, and hearts open to God’s healing word on Sunday.
In His grace,
The Pastors and Elders of Grace Bible Church Network
