Life has been life-ing and sometimes you just have to step away from social media and focus on what’s happening in real life.

Anna is still being Anna …growing, learning, surprising me, making me laugh, and keeping me on my toes every single day🥹

It’s the little things that mean the most!

Anna came home from school with this drawing of a Delta airplane that she colored✈️

If you know Anna, you know her love for Delta airplanes is REAL!❤️

I just want to take a moment to appreciate her amazing teachers for recognizing her interests and finding ways to incorporate them into her school day.

It might seem like just a simple coloring activity to some, but to a child like Anna, having her interests acknowledged and embraced means so much.

Thank you for seeing Anna, understanding what makes her happy, and making her feel included. These little gestures remind me that she's in a classroom where she's understood and celebrated.

Sometimes inclusion is as simple as giving a child a picture of their favorite airplane to color.

If Anna is stimming and she's happy, safe and not hurting herself or anybody else…

I'm not stopping her just because someone else thinks it “looks weird.”

I know people have VERY different opinions about this.

Let them stim or teach them to control it in public?

One thing autism parenting has taught me:

“They can do it sometimes” does NOT automatically mean “they can do it every time.”

Different environment.
Different sensory load.
Different expectations.
Different day.

Same child.

Good morning to the parents who already prevented 3 meltdowns, found the EXACT cup, cut the food the RIGHT way and translated a request nobody else understood…

A child having a hard time in a loud, crowded, unfamiliar environment isn't automatically a “badly behaved child.”

Sometimes you're watching a nervous system become completely overwhelmed.

There's a difference.

Because whew… potty training was one battle, but public toilet seats are a WHOLE different level😩

But…I found these disposable toilet seat covers on Amazon and immediately added them to our “never leave home without it” list! 🙌🏽

I can’t believe this 😳

Anna really sat there and drew 20 Sprunki characters BY HERSELF. The little details…the headphones, bows, flowers, hats, different faces… she knew exactly who she was drawing.

Sometimes I forget just how much she notices, remembers, and stores in that little brain🥹❤️

My girl amazes me in the most unexpected ways.

Sprunkie fans, how many characters can YOU recognize? 👀👇

I only know #18 is pinky because she drew picky before 😄
