The carnival is coming! Today at Cole Parkway, crews began to assemble all the rides and amusements in preparation of tomorrow's big Knights of Columbus, Scituate Council 3716 Carnival. It kicks off at 7 PM and runs through Saturday. The hours each night are 7 PM - 11 PM with a special 3 PM session on Saturday. Learn more here: https://www.fiestashows.com/fs/scituate-carnival/

A heads up for beachgoers: There have been multiple sightings of Lion's Mane Jellyfish at Peggotty and Egypt beaches. These jellyfish sting! The Town of Scituate Recreation Department's lifeguards have posted warnings and are monitoring the waters. Keep an eye out and be safe!

Held at the Harbor Community Building the event featured music, food and introductions. The SHS tennis courts are now open to the public! The Community Preservation Committee funded project features 5 new courts, 2 spectator bleachers and individual side entrances to each court. A reminder that there's no rollerblading or skate boarding on the courts. Swing by to check them out!

Along with music and raffles, it featured amazing speeches from the SHS Gay Straight Alliance and the director of the Provincetown based camp Summer Of Sass. Great progress on the construction of the new small dog park along the Driftway. Crews have removed most low growth and some trees. They will soon begin to construct an access drive to the small dog park on the east side of the large dog park. Construction is expected to be completed in September 2025.
