The Minot Beach Parking lot rehab is taking shape. The project entails raising and expanding the current lot, then repaving and striping. Additionally, new granite curbing has been added. Work is continuing on the installation of the drainage system. The parking lot is currently closed but expected to open before the start of beach season.

The latest aerial photo of Scituate's new water treatment plant shows the extensive work done so far. The water processing stations are in the center and to the left. The light blue tanks are the manganese removal filters and on the right are the garage and office building. Crews will continue work on roofing and windows this week. The Town of Scituate Recreation Department and the Town of Scituate's Bicycle Committee have unveiled two new bicycle recovery and maintenance stations here in town. One is located across from the kiosk in the harbor and the other is in North Scituate by the historic train canopy. The stations are equipped with a bike pump (with gauge), screwdrivers, wrenches, tire levers and more! The stations will help with repairs and fixes when bikers are on the go or when they don't have the appropriate tools at home. Ride by to take a look!

New pictures of the first phase of the Oceanside Drive Seawall Replacement project. This shows the first portion of the new seawall. The rebar and forms are already in place for the second portion. Concrete pouring is expected this week, weather dependent. Thanks to the Town of Scituate's Staff Engineer Jeff Chessia for these new pictures.
