Used Book Sale seeks donations to benefit Habitat for Humanity
in partnership with St. John’ s UCC and sponsored by BCM Payroll Services
CHAMBERSBURG, PA: Habitat for Humanity and St. John’s United Church of Christ have
again partnered to host a used book sale to benefit Habitat’s housing ministry in Franklin County.

From Sept 2 - Oct 11, materials can be donated in five ways:
1. At any of the Patriot Federal Credit Union lobby locations in Franklin County or at
Colony House Furniture in Chambersburg.
2. At St. John’s United Church of Christ, Monday-Friday 9-3, located at 1811 Lincoln Way
East in Chambersburg.
3. At the Habitat ReStore donation center, Wednesday-Saturday, normal store hours, located
at 1662 Lincoln Way East in Chambersburg.
4. In bulk by contacting Harold Collier at [email protected] or 717-263-8593. Large
donations should be boxed.
5. At three drop-off events: Saturday, 9/13 from 10am-1pm at Keller Williams Keystone
Realty: 1035 Wayne Ave, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
Donations can be placed directly in
the Lane Thrush moving truck. Saturday, 9/20 and Saturday, 10/11 from 9am-1pm at
Mobile Works: 2116 Lincoln Way E, Chambersburg, PA 17202.
Donations can be taken
to the rear of the building.
We welcome new and used books on all subjects, including paperbacks. We also welcome
artwork, DVDs, audiobooks (on CD), puzzles, and board games. We respectfully decline
textbooks, encyclopedias, musty books, cassette tapes, and VHS videos.
The donation cutoff date
is October 11, 2025. The sale will take place at St. John's UCC over three days on Oct 24 (Fri)
from 2-8pm, Oct 25 (Sat) from 9am-5pm and Oct 26 (Sun) from Noon-4pm.
This is a
volunteer-led initiative, and all proceeds will be used to help build the next Habitat house in
Franklin County.
About Habitat for Humanity of Franklin County: HFHFC was formed in 1994 and volunteers
have constructed 60 homes in partnership with local families in Franklin County. This helps to
achieve Habitat’s vision of “A world where everyone has a decent place to live” and ensures
there is adequate, affordable housing stock in Franklin County for everyone to live, work,
worship, and play.
