Meet Oletha

Oletha is the owner and director of the award-winning Diamond Dance Centre, and has more than 20 years of dance experience. Oletha professionally competed in dance for 10 years in Indiana, Kentucky, and Tennessee. She has had the opportunity to meet and dance with many famous dancers such as: Matt Steffanina, Kathryn McCormick, Robert Roldan, Mia Michaels, Dana Alexa, and Mary Ann Lamb. She attended Nationals for Dance Masters of America, performed at Walt Disney World, Indianapolis’ National Dance Week Celebration, and at various festivals throughout the area. Oletha auditioned and was one of 80 selected to attend “Destination Broadway” Theater camp in NYC in 2007 and 2008 where she worked with professional choreographers, Broadway composers, and Broadway actors. Oletha was an active member in drama at SCSD2 as well as community theatre where she performed in shows such as: "Lil' Abner", "Our Town", "The Nutcracker", and "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz". She has choreographed for the Charlestown High School Theatre Department many times. Oletha has choreographed shows such as: "The Wizard of Oz", "A Night On Broadway", "School House Rock Live!", and "Back to the 80s, the Musical". Their most recent show, "We Will Rock You", has been selected to perform at the 2018 Fringe Festival in Edinburg, Scotland. When she is not dancing, Oletha enjoys modeling and photography. She is currently signed with Helen Wells Agency as a model and actress. She has walked local runway shows, hosted modeling workshops, and professionally worked with many photographers, makeup artists, and hair stylists in the Indiana and Kentucky area. Oletha also loves being behind the camera. Oletha Dawn Photography provides portraits for families, seniors, and models.
