Senior Phillip Gray is the winner of Mr. Heavin’s stock market competition.

In August, economics students in Mr. Heavin’s class were given $10,000 pretend dollars to invest in the stock market. When the contest ended in December, Phillip’s account had grown to $12,595, an increase of over 25%.

Phillip’s holdings in Intel, Compass and Ford were especially impressive. Intel alone rose over 55%. Way to go, Phillip!
