One year ago, I was 9 months postpartum and struggling with a depression I couldn’t ignore.
Deep down, I knew I wasn’t living up to my full creative potential.
After so many false starts over the years, I had been avoiding the music industry like the plague. It had let me down in ways that took a long time to heal from, and honestly, I wasn’t sure I wanted to put myself through that again.
But your soul has a funny way of reminding you who you are.
No matter how hard I tried to move on, music kept calling me back.
So I started showing up again.
I just wanted to create.
I wanted to build a community of people who love their roots, love good music, and understand what it’s like to live between cultures. A place where Italian-Americans, Latinos, immigrants, first-generation kids, and anyone proud of where they come from could feel seen.
What started with a few videos, a lot of uncertainty, and a leap of faith has turned into something I never imagined.
One year later, that community is 50,000 strong on Instagram, ~22,000 strong on Facebook and ~10k on SPOTIFY!
To every person who watched a video, shared a song, laughed at a skit, left a comment, sent a message, or simply chose to stick around—thank you.
Over the last year, you’ve given me something I didn’t even realize I was looking for: a sense of purpose, a sense of belonging, and the courage to fully step back into the artist I was always meant to be.
And to the Italian and Latin communities who embraced me, supported me, and reminded me that our stories, our languages, and our cultures deserve to be celebrated—grazie.
50,000 is a number.
But the people behind it mean everything.
Grazie. ❤️🍋🇮🇹
