Every once in a while, a book reaches deep into your chest and rearranges something in you. For me, that book was Ernest Hemingway’s The Sun Also Rises. I find myself going back to this book again and again.

Hemingway captures the ache of living in a world forever changed—the “lost generation” searching for meaning after the Great War. It’s a novel about love and longing, about friendship and betrayal, about trying to live fully when you already know how fragile everything is.

One line always stops me in my tracks.
“You can’t get away from yourself by moving from one place to another.”
It’s a reminder that the real work is always inward, no matter how far we travel or how much we try to escape.

And then, the bittersweet moment between Jake and Brett.
“Isn’t it pretty to think so?”
For me, that’s Hemingway’s entire genius in a single line, the recognition that dreams are beautiful, even when they can’t be real.

At its core, this book is about resilience. “You are all a lost generation. The sun also rises, and the sun goes down, and hasteth to the place where he arose.”
We may be broken, tired, and scarred by life, but the sun still rises. And so do we. Always.

This novel isn’t just a story it’s a mirror. It taught me that love can be both ruinous and redemptive, that life is fleeting but worth pouring yourself into, and that beauty often lies in the longing rather than the having.

If you’ve ever felt both wounded and hopeful at once, this book is for you. Read it!

Welcome to Onward True: Principles of a Powerful Mind — where science, psychology, and practical wisdom come together to help you unlock the full potential of your mind.
Today’s episode is called “Only the Facts.”
In a world overflowing with opinions, hot takes, and viral half-truths, one thing stands above the noise: facts. But what is a fact? How do we know something is true? And what kind of evidence do we need before we can claim to know anything at all?
In this episode, we explore the hierarchy of scientific evidence—from expert opinions and case studies to randomized controlled trials and meta-analyses. We’ll break down how scientists and researchers separate noise from knowledge, and how you can use the same tools to sharpen your thinking, cut through confusion, and develop a mindset grounded in clarity and truth.
Because let’s face it—your mind can’t be powerful if it’s built on shaky ground.
Developing a fact-based mindset is about more than just winning arguments or sounding smart. It’s about aligning your thoughts with reality, making better decisions, and becoming more mentally resilient in an uncertain world.
So, whether you're a seeker of truth, a lover of logic, or just tired of being misled, this episode is for you.
Let’s separate the signal from the noise. Let’s build a mind based on facts.
Let’s move Onward True.
