Today is July 1, 2025. Halfway through what’s already been a transformative year.
After 17 years behind the camera, I finally get what I was actually building.
Started with a Flip video camera in 2008, then got my first DSLR in 2013 and got hooked, spending hours asking: Why do some images stick, and others get forgotten?
2017 changed everything when I started shooting nightlife at UofA and working for the student paper. That’s when I learned great photos aren’t about perfect settings, they’re about making people feel something. By 2022, I was making consistent monthly income and actually understood what makes content hit.
Now I’ve shot everything: music, events, hospitality, weddings, corporate gigs.
What I didn’t see then was that every time I figured out what made people stop scrolling, I was learning conversion psychology. Every event where I captured energy that made people wish they were there? That was brand storytelling.
I thought photography and marketing were separate skills. Wrong. They’re the exact same thing: make people stop, feel something, take action.
Plus, I’ve been doing digital marketing professionally for years while building my own photography brand from zero followers to paid gigs. I know what works from both sides—client strategy and creator hustle.
So I’m doing something about it.
The Lens of Peet is expanding into a full service creative studio that builds content that performs.
What I do:
• Photography & videography - event coverage and brand content that drives bookings
• Social media strategy - content audits, posting frameworks, and campaign planning
• Content editing & production - remote photo/video editing for creators and agencies
• Blog writing & SEO - optimized content that ranks and converts
For artists, musicians, restaurants, bars, personal brands. For anyone serious about results.
Phoenix base, global reach. For clients who get it. People who want to stay ahead instead of scrambling to catch up later.
Ready to build something that actually works?
