After my first VO2 Max test last April, I wanted to see how my numbers had changed… so I headed to to find out.

Quick breakdown for anyone unfamiliar: the “V” in VO2 Max stands for volume, and O2 stands for oxygen. Your VO2 Max measures how efficiently your body uses oxygen during exercise. The lab analyzes your oxygen consumption to pinpoint your exact aerobic and anaerobic thresholds and build highly personalized heart rate training zones.

I also did a DEXA scan, which gives you a detailed breakdown of your body composition: bone density, lean muscle mass, visceral fat, and more.

Overall, I learned that my aerobic base got stronger, and I can now sustain higher-intensity efforts while still burning primarily fat. Keep watching to see how my scores compare from last year to this year, and which areas I’ll be working on for next time.

All valuable data to have heading into training this summer! 💙🧡

Have you ever tested your VO2 Max? Drop your thoughts below. Thanks for having me!

They were gracious to give me a code, for those interested in trying out the tests:
• GRACE25 — 25% off any VO2 Max test or package that includes a VO2 Max assessment.
• GRACE99 — DEXA scan for $99 (for anyone who only wants a DEXA scan).

Anyone else had the realization that we’re halfway done with 2026? 😳

I was reflecting on the past few months lately, and these were a few lessons I wrote down in my journal. What lesson(s) have you learned so far this year? Please share them with me ⬇️

Happy Global Running Day to the sport that reminds us of who we are. 🏃🏻‍♀️

Every runner has a unique story to tell... and somehow, running has a way of helping us understand it a little better.

After all… distance really does make the heart grow fonder. 💛

Number 5 is a non-negotiable for me. ☝🏼 If you’re starting fall marathon training soon, save this post! 🔖

Now that it’s June… many of you are most likely eyeing the calendar for fall marathon training… 👀 If you’re entering that training cycle, here are 5 things that have played a big role in my marathon progression so far.

How many of you are training for a fall marathon this summer? 🙋🏻‍♀️

*quick disclaimer: I’m simply sharing what’s worked for me. Every runner is different, and what works for one person may not work for another.*

WELCOME TO THE OFF-SEASON DIARIES: 🎥💛
Most of you probably found my page through running, but outside of that, I run a full-time creative agency specializing in wedding + event videography and content creation.  (been on a bit of a hiatus on the feed 😆)

Clearly, we only had one word in our vocabulary last night. We’d make excellent food critics. 😂

Thank you for the incredible signature omakase experience last night. and I got to experience the exclusive 12-course Edomae-style omakase at the FiDi Hotel location in NYC. 🍣🥢

Andrew and I ended up rating our favorite dishes as we went, and the salmon and miso cod were easily in our top 3 picks. The chef walked us through each course and highlighted the seasonal ingredients behind every piece, which made the entire experience feel even more special.

Lately, I’ve been itching to fast forward through this current season. But whenever I think back to similar seasons in my life, I remind myself how important it is to slow down. So that I don’t miss the moments, or the lessons, or the signs I may have overlooked. I don’t want to become so consumed with wanting what’s next that I fail to appreciate where I am now. 💛 To sit with the discomfort and be patient instead.

Because one thing I’ve learned is that the longer you wait for something, the more clarity it gives you.

And now I’m here… but there was once a time when I was elsewhere praying to be “here.” For what it’s worth, “life was better then,” doesn’t always mean your current season is worse. It was just easier then.

One of my favorite things about being in the off-season of training is how clearly it reminds me why I fell in love with running in the first place. 💛 When you’re in the thick of training, it’s easy to lose sight of what it’s all for.

The best release, the best thoughts, the best ideas, the mindset shifts, the best alone time… are all here. I’m so thankful for that. ☺️
