PRAYERS FOR MY FRIEND DAVE EDMUNDS

We are deeply saddened to share news regarding legendary singer and guitarist Dave Edmunds, who has suffered a major cardiac arrest and is currently in intensive care.

His wife, Cici Edmunds, shared a heartfelt and heartbreaking message earlier today describing the terrifying moment Dave collapsed and, for a time, died in her arms before being miraculously revived by medical staff. Doctors were able to resuscitate him and intubate him, but the situation remains extremely serious. Dave is reportedly suffering from brain damage and severe memory loss, and the risk of another cardiac event remains dangerously high.

Dave Edmunds has given so much to the world through his music—from his iconic 1970 hit “I Hear You Knockin’” to his work with Rockpile alongside Nick Lowe, and countless contributions as a producer and guitarist across genres. He has always embodied the true spirit of rock ‘n’ roll: raw, passionate, and authentic.

We are asking all of our friends, followers, and fellow music lovers around the world to lift Dave up in prayer. Pray for his healing. Pray for his comfort. Pray for peace and strength for his devoted wife of 40 years, Cici, who is walking through this unimaginable moment with extraordinary courage and love.

Dave Edmunds is a cornerstone of roots rock, pub rock, rockabilly, and beyond. Let’s send a tidal wave of love, light, and hope his way.
