Seeing the Sun rise up over the horizon today certainly gave me a new appreciation and perspective of the power and importance of the sun.

Felt very primal as well as spiritual.

I now can understand why ancient cultures would worship the sun and see it as a divine object.

I was able to stare directly into the sun for an extended amount of time without hurting my eyes.

Instead of this extremely blinding orb, it was this shimmering circle that had texture. As I stared and watched, my eyes would shift the colors from yellow to a bright orange to a blue into a white, shades of green, violet, and then back again.

It was almost as if it appeared to have an additional dimension that I had never noticed before.

Like the button on a shirt or a coin that though so massive, was also so small. Just hovering above the horizon.

The experience has forever changed my appreciation and understanding of the sun ☀️ is and what it represents.

I feel very fortunate to have had the experience.
