Recently, 4-H members proudly represented Austin County at the District 11 Food Challenge and Food Show held in Cuero, Texas. Participants showcased their knowledge of nutrition, food safety, and culinary skills as they prepared dishes, answered judges' questions, and demonstrated what they have learned through the 4-H Healthy Lifestyles Program.

Austin County is still under a burn ban. Dry conditions continue to pose a wildfire risk in Austin County. Outdoor burning is prohibited in the unincorporated areas.

The Sealy Tiger basketball team achieved an outstanding 6-1 record throughout the Dec. 12 games. However, they also tasted defeat as they took their first loss against Schulenburg in the Shorthorn tournament.
