Finally finished with the Artisan Loaves for both markets.
Started the ovens at 5:30am and its now 3pm. My first bakes were 12 sandwich loaves taking up the first hour. Took 8 hours to bake 48 Artisan loaves.
English muffins are going now. Scones and cookies are all done.
Cinnamon rolls need to be shaped and proof for a little, then baked. Banana breads in that mix. The last 12 sandwich loaves tonight then shaping donut dough around 11pm and up at 4am to finish off the donuts.
Being a cottage sourdough baker for 2 different cities and doing pre orders and farmers markets every week is not for the faint of heart.
You get minimal sleep and down time but the rewards are amazing.
To know I'm helping families eat healthier baked goods and to break away from corporations that only poison us and seek greed over health is well worth it.
The amount of connections and relationships I've built in a state I knew no one has been a blessing. To slowly build this business off determination and genuine connection has been a lot of hard work and learning.
Im sure for those who have lived in one spot their whole lives and have a connection to the community it seems much easier but to know no one and build something from nothing is entirely different and raw.
Each and every one of my followers and customers has been organic growth from word of mouth, referrals and meeting in person, and for that I am forever greatful. 🩷
I thank you from the bottom of my heart and I appreciate every view, like and share. Every order and referral. Every time you share your goodies with others or post and tag our page. I can't thank you enough.
This business is how me and my husband support our family of six and we wouldnt survive without you. Thank you for supporting our dream and hard work.
