Fireworks can be fun for us, but they’re often terrifying for our furry friends. 🐶💥

Here are some quick tips to help keep your Shih Tzu calm and safe during fireworks:
🎆 Keep them inside, never leave pets outdoors during fireworks.
🎆 Turn on music or the TV to soften the noise.
🎆 Create a cozy, safe space where they can hide and feel secure.
🎆 Stay calm yourself, your energy affects them!
🎆 Make sure their ID tags and microchip info are up to date, just in case.

Shih Tzus are known for their sensitivity, so a little extra comfort goes a long way.

🐾 Yuck, yuck, and gross! Why does my dog EAT P**P?! 😱

It’s one of the most unpleasant behaviors we see—whether it’s their own or another dog’s 💩. But don’t worry, there are ways to stop it!

Here are a few helpful tips:
✅ Rule out medical issues – Sometimes it’s caused by diet deficiencies or digestive problems. A vet check is a smart first step.
✅ Clean it up fast – Promptly removing waste removes temptation.
✅ Try deterrents – Some over-the-counter products can make p**p taste even less appealing (as if it wasn’t gross enough already!).
✅ Improve diet – Low-quality food may not fully digest, leaving “leftovers” behind. Upgrading food can help.
✅ Keep your dog busy – Boredom and anxiety can be culprits. More play, training, and chew toys may reduce the habit.

This behavior is called coprophagia, and while it’s common (especially in puppies), it can be managed.
