Struggling with what color 8 x 10 rug to put here. It is the fireplace stone that is throwing me off because it has so many colors in it. Dark gray couch, light taupe chair. Please help me find a rug before it gets too cold 🥶

Temporary kitchen fix help, please!
This is the kitchen in a home we just purchased. Our decor is coastal with a lot of cool blues, whites and natural wood tones. We won’t be remodeling the kitchen for at least a year, and I need help blending it in for the time being. The hardest part is that the counters are brown granite with pink undertones, and the backsplash is more of the same. Without replacing the counters, what would you do to brighten it up? The only paint is on the soffit, so that’s easy, but the rest of the kitchen is… so taupish brown.

I need this space updated on a budget! Can anyone send me some ideas. I don’t have to paint the cabinets if I can get it...

HELP, LOL!! We have the new floor picked out (featured in pic below) and now we can’t decide if we should

1. Keep the cabinets as is and just replace the back splash (ignore the white backslash in the pic)

Or

2. Paint the top cabinets white, the bottoms to match our island and paint the back splash black.

Suggestions please 🙌🏻

Please ignore all other things- yes I know I need to raise the curtain rods, I know my floors aren’t updated yadda yadda… ONLY asking for votes on staining/painting the fireplace surround. First photo is what it actually looks like (I like the surround itself even if it’s not what’s trendy right now, I’m just not a huge fan of the honey oak color). I used AI to show it stained darker, painted black, and painted white. Would love some votes or other ideas that don’t involve a total remodel/overhaul as that’s simply not in the budget or in my capacity to deal with currently.

Need some inspiration, I’ve moved into an old nursery and we are renovating it to make it our home it has a room just for kids toilets I’d love to keep the kids toilets as I have 5 children under the age of 10 and it would be cool but I have no idea how to decorate it it’s currently yellow and blue it also has sinks and mirrors x4 which is cute for morning routine
