Everyone told us not to travel with a newborn.
So naturally

Especially after recently giving birth having my husband, remind me that I don’t completely suck as a mom has been really helpful. I love you baby ❀

Most women don’t lack discipline. I thought I did.
We lack decision bandwidth.

It’s hard, but also so worth it & I wouldn’t have it any other way!

For years, as a nutrition coach, I’ve shown women that fat loss is possible.
That metabolism is adaptable.
That strength and energy can be rebuilt at any age.”

And now, as a new mama, there’s something I need to say out loud:

Just because something is possible doesn’t mean it’s appropriate for every season.

Timing matters.

I love and respect my body because it created life. And from that place, I rebuild — *patiently*, intentionally, without rushing.

There is no bounce back.
There is rebuild forward.

Pregnancy and postpartum are not neutral states.
They are inflammatory by design.

Inflammation rises to support placental growth, immune tolerance, tissue repair, milk production, and massive hormonal shifts. Estrogen, progesterone, prolactin, cortisol — all elevated on purpose.

That softness and swelling after birth? Normal.

The so-called “milk fluff” is real!

Prolactin shifts fat storage to protect milk supply, especially when sleep is broken and cortisol stays high.

This is why rushing to “drop the weight” a few weeks after giving birth is not wellness.

Wellness is not aggressive training, calorie restriction, fasting, or chasing fat loss too early

If you want to change your body, that’s okay.
If you don’t want to right now, that’s also okay.

There is zero judgment here.
It please - TAKE YOUR TIME!

The goal should always be reducing inflammation, restoring energy, rebuilding strength safely, and calming the nervous system. When those are supported, body composition shifts naturally.

Love you fellow mamas!

What can I say? Water is also a biohack!

Ps. I don’t know what says I’m Post partum more. The fact that I didn’t get the weeks right or that I said ‘trips’ instead of ‘tricks’.

I didn’t come from money. Money came from me.
I didn’t come from “adventure travel.” Adventure travel came from me.

My first flight was at 19. I was moving to Australia and I barely spoke English.
This was long enough ago that you couldn’t watch a YouTube video like “how airports work” and feel prepared.

And the part that still hits me?
When my mom came to visit me in the US, it was her first flight ever. She was 50+.

So if you’re watching people hit milestones “early” and it triggers that voice in your head like, I’m late

you’re not.

Man who sacrifices his Personal Record for a kiss? Yeah
 I’m keeping him. đŸ„č

To be fair, the right woman won’t ever want her man to sacrifice his PR for her & I didn’t expect him or even want him to turn around. I didn’t expect a kiss.

I just wanted him to finally hear me. He missed me cheering for him THREE TIMES during the race and kept asking his parents, “Where is Aggie?” lol. So yeah, I wanted him to hear how proud I am of him for finishing an IRONMAN 70.3!

The whole day wasn’t about me. It was his race. His focus. His suffering. His passion. Making it about me would have been bu****it.

And I really believe this, thanks to Alison Armstrong too. You never block a man’s passion. You don’t compete with it. You give him freedom. And if he’s the right man
 he chooses you anyway.

I can’t even pretend I was thrilled when he told me he wanted to train for an Ironman RIGHT AFTER I gave birth and our son being in the NICU right after.

It meant months of brutal training when all I wanted was him focused on me and the baby. That took real work on my side. Letting go. Trusting. Giving freedom instead of holding tight. And I can’t say I loved it every time.

Turns out, the right man feels that freedom. And he appreciates it.

So when he turned around at the finish and then told me ‘there will be more races’ I knew he’s a keeper.
