Esta noche es muy especial para todos los que formamos parte de Amigos de Seattle.
Nos reunimos no solamente para celebrar la presentación de un libro, sino también para reconocer a una mujer que durante más de cinco años ha caminado junto a nuestra organización, compartiendo generosamente sus conocimientos, experiencia, tiempo y calidad humana.
Para nuestra Junta Directiva, administración, personal y voluntarios de Amigos de Seattle, la profesora Samantha Carrillo ha sido mucho más que una colaboradora: ha sido una mentora, educadora, consejera y amiga.
Hoy celebramos con enorme alegría su talento y este nuevo logro: su libro Las mujeres que viven en mí, una obra que, desde sus capítulos, nos invita a recorrer distintas etapas y experiencias de la vida de una mujer: la niña, la adolescente, la madre, la soñadora, la inmigrante y la mujer que aprende a mirarse nuevamente con ternura.

We are gathered not only to celebrate the presentation of a book, but also to recognize a remarkable woman who, for more than five years, has walked alongside our organization, generously sharing her knowledge, experience, time, and humanity.
For the Board of Directors, administration, staff, and volunteers of Amigos de Seattle, Professor Samantha Carrillo has been much more than a collaborator. She has been a mentor, educator, advisor, and friend.
