Mt. Rainier in the winter is like stepping into a snow globe 🥹❄️

Tips for visiting! 🌲💫⤵️

🚗 Vehicles are required to carry tire chains (including Four-wheel drive) from Nov 1 - May 1

🛣️ Typically, paradise road past longmire is open FRI-MON (closed TUES, WED, THURS)

⏰ Gate from Longmire to Paradise opens to uphill traffic at 9 am and closes at 4 pm. (It’s recommended to leave the park by 4:30 pm as the downhill gate closes at 5 pm.)

☀️ Daylight hours are shorter in the winter so plan accordingly

‼️ Please note that dates and hours are always subject to change based on current conditions. Be sure to check the NPS website before visiting for the most up to date info!

📍Espresso Chalet, Gold Bar, WA

Tough times right now after the recent flooding in Washington, a 49-mile stretch of Hwy 2 is closed and may remain shut down for months, with multiple sections damaged or washed out.

Even with limited access to the surrounding areas, I’ll never pass up a chance to stop by Espresso Chalet. Just a little reminder to keep supporting small businesses. ❤️
