My heart was heavy as I walked through the cemetery, clutching a bunch of white roses. I made my way to Grandpa Robert's grave. Each step made it harder to hold back the words I needed to say...
I knelt by his headstone. It hurt seeing how forgotten it looked. "Hey, Gramps," I said, trying to keep my voice steady. "Sorry it’s been so long. We're moving… Dad gambled everything away, and my dream of being a flight engineer is done." The tears hit before I could stop them, blurring everything.
As I wiped the dirt off the headstone, my fingers caught on something. Tiny raised bumps hidden under the grime. I cleaned it off and froze.
"Coordinates?" I whispered.
A memory hit me — those treasure hunts we used to do, Grandpa's secret codes and maps. Was this another clue? One last adventure he left for me?
Suddenly, it wasn't just a grave anymore. It was a message, waiting for me to find it.👇
