This is 32 ✨

And dare I say it was my best year yet?!

This year, I leaned into the saying, “the cost of community is inconvenience.” Post-COVID society has gotten too comfortable prioritizing itself and its peace, and this has had detrimental effects on relationship-building, including myself.

So, I channeled my energy into showing up and creating space for community. I’ve grown my women’s group trips by almost double, started a BFF channel for Washingtonians to connect, fostered personal friendships, and made incredible connections with other creatives.

When I think about the best parts of my year, I am never alone.

My favorite parts:
🫶 Completing the TMB with the best friend and lover,
🫶 Hosting numerous backpacking trips
🫶 Trekking through the highlands of Oaxaca with new friends
🫶 Getting sun poisoning with my besties in the Olympics
🫶 Growing my business with experts and creatives, Mac & Sav
🫶 Exploring Mount Rainier with my family
🫶 Paddling through the San Juan Islands with the gals
🫶 Taking my students on field trips
I could go on and on and on, and what an incredible feeling that is to know I had a year filled with amazing people.

Enjoy my collection of random photos from this past year 🥹

Tips for Visiting Westman Island

If you want to see puffins in Iceland, Westman Island is the place to go. Here are some suggestions for visiting the island:

1️⃣Catch the earliest ferry there or spend the night! Puffins are most active in the morning and evening, so chances of seeing them on the island increase significantly if you’re there early or later.
2️⃣Drive straight to the puffin lookouts. Most people on the ferry will be headed to the puffin spots, but you can beat the crowd by driving straight there instead of stopping in town.
3️⃣ You will need a car. The island looks small and walkable, but if you’re trying to go to places like the Puffin Lookout, you will definitely want a vehicle to get you around.

There is plenty to do on the island, but a day trip is a sufficient amount of time as long as you can be there either in the early morning before puffins go out to sea for hunting or in the evening when they come back from hunting.

Have questions about visiting, let me know in the comments!
