Happy New Year! Sorry I’m late (but are you even surprised tho? Stop it, don’t play with me)
On a serious note: I realize that I need to build up the Facebook end of things in a major way. It can be a great tool for sharing posts, important upcoming events, and a way to have listeners like YOU connect with one another.
Please be sure you’re SUBSCRIBED to The Real Recovery Podcast on whatever listening platform you prefer — if you happen to catch the show on APPLE PODCASTS then it’s even more critical that you are SUBSCRIBED and that you LEAVE FEEDBACK WHEN PROMPTED 🫶🏽 Apple Podcasts (my preferred platform) is heavy on the algorithms which means that it’s quite easy for shows— good shows! — to get lost in the mix. And when shows gets swallowed up then they don’t reach the people who would otherwise benefit from the content.
Troubleshooting this would look like 1. Following The Real Recovery Podcast on Apple Podcats (search: The Real Recovery Podcast via Apple Podcasts then click on the thumbnail photo and go to the show’s featured page. There you will find up in the TOP RIGHT CORNER a button that has the word FOLLOW. Make sure to click the (+) sign and double check that you are indeed now following.
After this please scroll the the very bottom and you will find the RATINGS & REVIEWS section. Please leave us a star rating (1-5) and if you feel up to it, provide some feedback! You guys know I’m big on conversations and even when yall play with me and come for me via email or social media or whatever the case may be, I listen. Because this stupid show wouldnt exist otherwise.
It’s when the crows goes radio silent — or worse…there is no longer a crowd who cares to listen — that’s trouble.
So please, there’s so much work to be done and my mission is endless. As long as there is pain and discomfort and hurt people then I’ll be here keeping the light on hoping yall want to find your way home. However I can help you get to the people and places that you need, I’ll be here to do it.
So introduce yourselves — 2026 we build our community of former and current f**k ups, of people who know what it means to be broken badly, people who are trying to trust again, people who have caused damage and immeasurable pain, people who know that their past can help others to find their own futures.
Power in numbers.
We do recover.
Drug addiction will never be eradicated and the sooner we get out of our own way and create a community of peers that are people first focused then the sooner we begin doing the work that no one did for us, and we lead by example, and we heal. At any and all costs.
