Our proposal story! (Appy)
After COVID, both our families flew to the U.S. so we could finally be together . One stop on the trip had to be New York because I was living my Gossip Girl and Bollywood dream.

At the Statue of Liberty, Sanket was acting SO sus… constantly texting someone, hiding his phone, and I was convinced something was up. (Spoiler: I was very annoyed. 😂)

A little later, we reached DUMBO under the Brooklyn Bridge, and he casually told me, “I know you love photos, so I booked a photographer for a family photoshoot.”

Still slightly mad… but okay. 😌

We took a few family pictures, then the photographer asked me to face the water for a solo shot. When I turned around…

Sanket was on one knee.

I completely broke down in tears. Our parents had no idea what was happening and were just as shocked as I was. It was one of the most magical moments of our lives. ❤️

But here’s the plot twist…

My mom suddenly goes, “Appu… but the ring is in my bag!”

Because I had secretly planned to propose to HIM the very next day and had hidden my ring in her purse. 😭💍

His sister had to quickly whisper to our parents, “He’s proposing right now!”

He beat me to it… and somehow, that made the whole story even more perfect.

Chaotic. Unexpected. So us. 🤍
Ps: the person he was texting was the photographer to plan all of it 😂

Wait… why did nobody tell us about this place?! 🥹🐾

On the way to Olympic National Park, we found a hidden animal farm where you can feed elks, llamas, deer, peacock & even get close to bears, cougars and tigers🦌🦙🐻✨
