Our heartfelt condolences go out to the family, friends, and community of Leno Rose-Avila. We are deeply grateful for the privilege of interviewing Leno twice on Adelante Leadership. His wisdom, humility, and unwavering commitment to uplifting our communities left a lasting impact on all who had the honor of knowing him.

Leno was more than a teacher and mentor — he was a guiding light for many. We had the opportunity to sit with him during his visit to Washington, and it was truly an honor to celebrate his legacy as a humble and compassionate leader dedicated to preserving our stories, culture, and history.

We know he would want us to continue honoring our communities by sharing knowledge, remembering our histories, and lifting one another up. To celebrate his life and legacy, we are sharing two of his episodes so others may continue to learn from his words of wisdom and powerful example.

Thank you, Leno, for your leadership, your kindness, and the legacy you leave behind. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

🎧 Episode 5: Where Grassroots Become Power

We’re excited to share our latest episode of Adelante Leadership with Peter Bloch Garcia and Tania Hino.

This conversation explores the journey of a digital trailblazer who turned lived experience—from civil war to public service—into a platform that empowers millions to engage in democracy. As the founder of Daily Kos, he has redefined how grassroots movements organize, mobilize, and influence change in the digital era.

Named among Forbes’ “Web Celeb 25” and People en Español’s “100 Most Influential Hispanics,” and a columnist for Newsweek and The Hill, his work continues to shape conversations around leadership, civic engagement, and people-powered impact.

In this episode, we reflect on:
• Leadership shaped by resilience and identity
• The evolution of digital activism
• The power of community in driving systemic change

Inspired by figures like Archbishop Óscar Romero and César Chávez, this is a compelling discussion on leading with purpose in today’s world.
