So much has happened since my last day in Washington, but I'm so thankful I have those memories.

I've been quiet because some big scary changes happened the day I got back. I'll share them below for those who want to read them.

Hold on to the good things, they'll get you through the dark times.

Story: I got home from a trip that I took for self-reflection, Independence, friends, and my own joy to find that my partner of 10 years didn't like that and changed the locks on the house I thought was "ours." I just walked around the block to get Thai food, but this week, I'm spending time with myself, and I know it will be a wonderful experience because I enjoy who I am.

I hope you can all find that within yourselves too. I know I have forgotten it at many points in my life, but I am trying to do better and treat myself with love and kindness.

What a journey! Made it through the airports by myself successfully (even through a gate change at one point). I rode a terrifying and hot train in Dallas. And I got to see some gorgeous views from my plane window landing in Seattle.

🦯My cane, my monocular, and my phone made it all possible.

Cheers to the bad days that motivate you. I'm not 100% there, but I'm getting there.

This week or so before my first big trip in a while is going to be hard, but I'm looking forward to the journey I'm about to go on. It's going to be scary and incredible and wonderful and eye-opening.

Today didn't go as planned, but I'm holding it together better than last week. That's progress. I'm pleased with that and proud of the changes I've been making for myself.

I hope you can also explore what small things you can do to find a bit more happiness than yesterday.

I have been dying to go to the Van Gogh experience for a while now, and I finally got to make that a reality with 💜

It was magical, inspiring, and brought me both so much peace and joy today in a time when I have really been struggling.

Follow the light.

Money will be there later. Should I go to that??? Yes... Yes.
