This week we will be relaxing and enjoying the movie Tender Comrade. This light-hearted film set during WWII, explores the concept of communal living for working-class women who took up the heroic task of production of munitions in the fight against fascism. The communal theme earned the film the label of being Communist propaganda by the House Un-American Activities Committee during the McCarthy repressions.
