Tokyo moments 🤍

I started this trip solo — which honestly felt a little scary at first. I spent 3 days wandering Tokyo alone, didn’t do anything touristy since I have been there before but it was mostly full of taking myself to cafés, walking new neighborhoods , filming little moments, and learning how to enjoy my own company

And then midway through the trip, my parents joined me 🤍

So this trip somehow became both — a solo travel diary and memories with the people who made me fall in love with travel in the first place.

Some favorite moments:
Exploring new spots, mornings in tiny cafés, seeing Mt. Fuji for the first time ( even though this was my third trip to Japan),tried so many matcha places and hidden cafes, family dinners & being a tour guide to my parents, cute hotel pajamas in Japan and realizing how special it is to experience different versions of life all in one trip.

Romanticizing rest lately 🤍
the hotel was the whole trip and i needed that more than i realized. 🤍
slow travel is something i’ve been actively trying to practice lately — and honestly? it doesn’t come naturally when you’re a planner like me and travel creator .
my brain defaults to packed itineraries, reservations, and making sure every hour counts.
but this weekend at kind of rewired that for me.

This was our second time at the property and we went there for a romantic anniversary getaway - and we didn’t have a plan. we had slow mornings with breakfast outside and long dinners at Santé Restaurant. that was it. and it was everything.

I’m learning that slow travel isn’t about doing less — it’s about actually being somewhere instead of just passing through.
it’s letting a place work on you instead of the other way around. and is genuinely built for that. The thermal mineral pools alone will make you forget what day it is.
if you’ve been craving a reset that isn’t another packed weekend trip — this is your sign - wine country, wellness, and a hotel that makes slowing down feel like the only option.
it’s the kind of trip you come home from feeling like yourself again. 🍷

We stayed at Outlook Inn and it ended up being one of my favorite stays. The views from our room were stunning — waking up to the water never gets old.

Mini Eastsound guide:
— slow morning coffee + waterfront walks - Dragonfly Coffee House
— little shops + local finds around town
— Seabird Bakery on Saturdays (worth planning around 🤍)
— Olga Rising for sandwiches + a cozy stop on a drive
— sunset views right from the property
— Moran State Park for scenic drives
— Mount Constitution for sunset views over the islands
— dinner at New Leaf Café (so good — just note they’re closed Tuesdays & Wednesdays)

Farm stands / local stops:
— Orcas Island Farmer’s Market on Saturdays for flowers, produce, pastries, and local goods
— Lum Farm for goat cheese, island farm vibes, and local ice cream -
— Girl Meets Dirt for jams, orchard goods, and cute gifts to bring home

If Orcas Island has been on the list, this is the sign

POV: the craving for crispy chicken and fries wins every time [Ad]

finally tried Super Chix and now i get the hype. crispy chicken sandwiches, fries, hand-spun shakes, and comfort food that just hits after a long day.

The chicken is fresh and never frozen, the fries are fresh cut, and the sauce bar honestly is the BEST .

Already excited to check out their new Seattle location soon 👀
What we ordered:
• Buffalo Ranch & blackened Cajun chicken sandwich — my favorite
• fresh cut fries
• Reese’s peanut butter cold fusion shake
• Asian Sesame Salad
