New DS9 Novel Coming • The Peacemakers

This new story takes place five years after The Dominion War (2380) and follows Jake Sisko, who is back on Earth after a long journey around the Gamma Quadrant.

Jake must finish up a book about life out there, following the collapse of the Dominion. He's also got the struggle of everyone wanting his attention, including Starfleet Intelligence, the Bajoran people, and more! Jake journeys to Cardassia Prime, hoping for an escape, but a murder mystery begins...

This new novel, titled "The Peacemakers" is coming in August 2026. Written by Star Trek Veteran author Una McCormack. Details courtesy of Trek Central.

How many starships should actually exist by the early 25th century?

Across time, starships barely appeared in Trek movies, then after TNG, more and more new classes made their appearance. By the time we reached Deep Space Nine, we saw sizeable fleets and also again in Picard season 3.

With over 150 Federation member worlds, how many starships should realistically exist during the time of Picard season 3?
