Day 4 of Summer Ideas ✨
I’ve always been a huge fan of a good summer fair.
Growing up near the California State Fair, some of my favorite childhood memories were made there. I still remember the warm summer evenings, the smell of fresh kettle corn and fried treats drifting through the air, the mix of excitement and butterflies before climbing onto a ride, and the friendly competition to win a giant stuffed animal.
It was one of those experiences I couldn’t wait to share with the kids.
Watching them laugh, choose their favorite rides, and soak in all the excitement reminded me why these simple traditions become lifelong memories.
My favorite tip? Go after the sun starts to set.
The glowing lights completely transform the fair into something magical. Everything feels a little more exciting, and it’s an experience the kids won’t soon forget.
One thing I’ve learned is that every child enjoys the fair differently. Some will be drawn to the biggest, fastest rides, while others will be happiest on the carousel, bumper cars, or simply walking around with a treat in hand. That’s okay! Try to meet everyone in the middle. Let your little thrill-seekers enjoy the adventurous rides while making sure your more cautious kiddos have just as much fun with the gentler attractions.
At the end of the day it’s all about the memories we create together! 🎡
