Some goodbyes feel like more than saying goodbye to a pet. Sometimes, they feel like saying goodbye to an entire chapter of your life. 🤍

Losing my childhood dog has been incredibly painful, but it has also made me realize that grief and excitement can exist together. I can miss what I’ve lost while still looking forward to everything that’s waiting for me.

I wrote more about Dallas, grief, growing up, and learning to let go on the blog.

Rest in paradise, my sweet girl. Thank you for 17 beautiful years. 🐾🤍

This week on the blog, I’m sharing a follow-up to our family’s ADHD journey!

Parenting is rarely a straight path, and sometimes finding what works takes patience, trust, and a little trial and error. I’m opening up about some of the challenges we’ve faced, the lessons we’ve learned, and the hope we’ve found along the way.

If you’re navigating a similar journey, I hope our story reminds you that you’re not alone.

I’m sharing one of my favorite meal-prep recipes that came from a conversation with an RDN.

Sometimes I wonder where the girl in her twenties went.

The one who spent hours flipping through magazines, trying to copy every trend because she thought that was what confidence looked like.

Then I became a mom.

Somewhere between raising a little boy, building a career, moving across states, and simply growing up… I forgot to ask myself one question.

Who am I now?

Not just as a mom.

Not just as someone’s partner.

Not just as the woman who checks off a never-ending to-do list.

But me.

Lately, I’ve realized that finding my style has very little to do with clothes.

It’s about becoming comfortable in my own skin.

Motherhood didn’t take away who I was. It simply introduced me to someone new.

Maybe your thirties aren’t about becoming older.

Maybe they’re about becoming yourself.

If you’ve ever felt like you’ve lost a little piece of yourself after becoming a mom, I hope you know you’re not alone. We’re all finding our way back. One small step, one outfit, one season at a time.

☀️ Day 5 of Summer Ideas!

Nothing says summer quite like a pool day! One of my favorite things about summer is finding simple ways to get the kids outside and active! You don’t need your own in ground pool at home. You can buy an inflatable pool or you can go to a public pool. The kids will still have a blast!

Pool days are a wonderful way for kids to burn off energy while staying cool during these hot summer afternoons. Pack plenty of snacks, lots of water, sunscreen, and don’t forget a few pool toys or diving toys to make the day even more exciting! Our kids loved this! It was a great time for us all and even gave me a little break and time to read!

What’s your favorite summer water activity? 🌊☀️

There’s something about fair rides that makes you feel like a kid again. ✨

The warm summer air and bright lights brings that feeling of nostalgia.

These are the moments I hope my kids remember someday. 🤍

Day 4 of Summer Ideas ✨

I’ve always been a huge fan of a good summer fair.

Growing up near the California State Fair, some of my favorite childhood memories were made there. I still remember the warm summer evenings, the smell of fresh kettle corn and fried treats drifting through the air, the mix of excitement and butterflies before climbing onto a ride, and the friendly competition to win a giant stuffed animal.

It was one of those experiences I couldn’t wait to share with the kids.

Watching them laugh, choose their favorite rides, and soak in all the excitement reminded me why these simple traditions become lifelong memories.

My favorite tip? Go after the sun starts to set.

The glowing lights completely transform the fair into something magical. Everything feels a little more exciting, and it’s an experience the kids won’t soon forget.

One thing I’ve learned is that every child enjoys the fair differently. Some will be drawn to the biggest, fastest rides, while others will be happiest on the carousel, bumper cars, or simply walking around with a treat in hand. That’s okay! Try to meet everyone in the middle. Let your little thrill-seekers enjoy the adventurous rides while making sure your more cautious kiddos have just as much fun with the gentler attractions.

At the end of the day it’s all about the memories we create together! 🎡
