Calling all performers with a flair for satire, style, and a touch of bold humor — Acting Under the Influence is casting for its upcoming August cabaret, The Book of Bourbon! This provocative and hilarious musical r***e will perform Thursday, August 28th at the Red Light Cafe in Atlanta, and auditions are open until midnight on Saturday, August 2nd.

About the Show:
The Book of Bourbon is a R-rated musical cabaret that satirizes religious zeal, personal identity, and cultural expectations — with a heavy dose of irreverent humor and powerhouse vocals. Inspired by The Book of Mormon, the show will feature a wide range of roles, including character solos and a diverse ensemble.

How to Audition:
To audition, submit a one-minute cut of a song in the style of the show.

You may submit a new recording or a previous audition video or reel, as long as it clearly demonstrates your vocal performance in the appropriate style.

ACTOR TWO (Elder Cunningham): Quirky, awkward, well-meaning screw-up. Nerdy with a heart of gold and a penchant for lies.
ACTOR THREE (Nabulungi): A young Black African woman. Hopeful and serious about helping her village.
ACTOR FOUR (Mafala Hatimbi): Nabulungi’s father, a wise, joyful village leader. Doubles as Voice.
ACTOR FIVE (Elder McKinley): Cheerful Mormon missionary hiding internal struggles. Doubles as Elder Grant and Moroni.
ACTOR SIX (General): Intimidating Ugandan warlord. Doubles as Johnny Cchran.
ENSEMBLE (7 actors): Seeking versatile performers to play a wide range of roles: Mormon missionaries, villagers, fantastical characters, and more. All identities welcome.

Now Casting for “Dragula: The Musical” – Rehearsing in North Hollywood, Opening in Sherman Oaks This Fall
Santa Clarita-based director and actor Mark Mc Quown is casting talent for his new original musical, Dragula, which is set to open at the Whitefire Theatre in Sherman Oaks, California, on October 23, 2025. The show will run for 12 performances through November 2, 2025, with shows Thursday through Sunday at 7:30 p.m., and matinees on Saturdays and Sundays at 2:30 p.m.

Performance Venue:
Whitefire Theatre – 13500 Ventura Blvd, Sherman Oaks, CA 91423

The production will rehearse throughout September and the first two weeks of October at a church facility in North Hollywood located at 5730 Cahuenga Blvd, a recognizable yellow building with parking and entrance at the back side door. Rehearsals are scheduled Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Cast members are paid $10 per rehearsal, with $50 per performance and a closing bump of $80.

Roles Currently Casting:
Dragula – Male, age 30–60. A singer who moves well and can act.
3 Ensemble Roles – Open to any gender and age. Strong singers who move well or can dance.
The show features three lead roles and a six-person ensemble. Three ensemble roles and the American couple leads
have already been cast.

Disney Projects Casting REAL Orlando Families & Couples – FL

A Disney production filming overnight at Disney Springs in Orlando, FL is now seeking REAL families and REAL couples in Orlando area.

This is for upcoming promo that is scheduled to film July 30, July 31, and August 1, 2025.

Filming will take place during late-night and early-morning hours in Orlando, Florida, with tentative call times between 11:00 p.m. and 4:00 a.m. Rates are $225 for a full 12-hour day (plus one hour for lunch) and $150 for a 6-hour half day (only applicable on July 30). Talent must be local to Orlando, as no travel or accommodations will be provided.

Disney Springs is an entertainment, dining, and shopping district located at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida. Brooklyn Nets Kids Dance Team Announces Open Auditions for 2025-26 NBA Season

The spotlight is calling! The Brooklyn Nets Kids Dance Team is holding open auditions for the upcoming 2025-26 NBA season, offering young dancers an exciting opportunity to perform live at Barclays Center and represent one of the league’s most dynamic franchises.

Open Auditions Details:
Nets Kids Dance Team to hold open auditions for 2025-26 NBA season.
Date: Sunday, August 3, 2025
Time: Registration begins at 10:00 AM (All dancers must arrive by 10:30 AM)
Location: St. Joseph’s University-New York, 212 Vanderbilt Ave, Brooklyn, NY
Who Can Audition: Children ages 6 to 13 with a minimum of two years of dance training

Parents or legal guardians must accompany all dancers to sign a waiver prior to the audition. Finalists may be asked to stay through 4:30 PM, so participants should be prepared for a full day of dancing.

What to Expect:
During auditions, young performers will be taught a short routine and evaluated on their ability to quickly learn and confidently perform choreography. Judges will assess technique, stage presence, and energy — all key qualities of a Nets Kids dancer.
Those selected will become part of the Nets Kids Dance Team, a high-profile group that performs at Brooklyn Nets weekend home games at the Barclays Center, wowing thousands of fans throughout the season. In addition to game day performances, team members will participate in weekly rehearsals held in Brooklyn, where they will continue developing their dance skills in a professional, supportive environment.
