SELF CARE SERIES

Today’s self care tip is from Patranya Bhoolsuwann!

I have to admit, I am one of those people where "self care" is not something I put at the top of my "to do" list. And trust me, I always have a "to do" list. But with this pandemic and a career change happening at the same time, it forced me to stop and think about how much my life & health really go hand in hand.

I am horrible at sitting down and meditating, something that's been on my "to do" list for years. But what I have managed to do pretty consistently over the past year is get in my daily walks. I see this routine as a "moving meditation". It allows me to zone out for a little while and just be with me and quiet down. I recently started checking out hiking trails around Las Vegas and realized how much this area has to offer when it comes to a natural escape.

I encourage all of you to take a little "time out" of your busy schedule and just give yourself some "me time" outside. It will do wonders for your body & soul.

“Why do you do what you do?”

I have been getting this question a lot lately of why I switched careers to run my own media consulting company after 20 years as a television journalist.

The simple reason is I want to help people tell their stories. And I want to do it on my own terms.

Working in TV news has shown me that there are so many people who are smart, successful, talented, with a potential to make a huge impact in the world. They deserve the opportunity to showcase their stories. I can teach them how to improve their communication skills so they can better connect with clients and increase their sales. Remember, it’s not the numbers on a spreadsheet that attract people, it’s the story of why you and what you do “matters”.

Hi Vegas news friends: I just got this note below from a local physician and also a dear friend. He said the hospital is in dire need for N95 masks and is looking for help from the construction industry, among others. Please help spread the word and if you want to reach this doctor directly, let me know and I will connect.

My friend, by the way, has been in the medical field for many years and he said he is scared of what he’s seeing. He hasn’t seen his family in 4 days because he’s afraid he may infect them. We can’t thank our healthcare workers enough for being on the front line of this pandemic. 🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼

Hey you two. I know you have an enormous media outreach. Any chance you could see about pushing something out media wise to encourage all of the construction companies and tradesman to donate N95s to the hospitals. Preferably one place so they can organize and share. I will do whatever it takes to push this message out that hospitals are already stressed with supplies and in 10 days it will be significantly worse.
