Transgender identities are not new.

We know this because of a library of scientific research that was destroyed by the N***s in 1933.

Over 100 years ago, Dr. Magnus Hirschfeld founded the Institute for Sexual Science in Berlin. It was a groundbreaking place that cared for intersex and transgender people and preserved a vast archive documenting gender and sexual diversity across cultures and history.

In 1933, the N***s stormed his institute and burned more than 20,000 books, photos, and testimonies - an attempt to erase the truth that gender diversity has always existed.

Some documents survived, and today they remain proof:

LGBTQIA+ people are not new, not a trend, and not going away. The truth could be burned, but it could not be destroyed.

Last month, the organizers of the Desperado LGBTQ+ Film Festival in Phoenix announced that they canceled the event “in direct response” to President Donald Trump’s executive order aimed at ending diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives at publicly funded institutions.

The annual New York LGBTQ+ Film Festival announced Tuesday that it will provide Arizonans with free virtual access to a selection of this year’s featured films in response to the cancellation.

The Arizona Q***r Film Access Initiative will allow those watching from Arizona free virtual access to a selection of the New York City festival’s 130 films for the duration of the festival, which will run from Oct. 9 to Oct. 21.
