Had one of those lunches that reminds you why Pacific Northwest seafood is unmatched.
Checked out Net Shed at the Everett Marina and it absolutely delivered.

House-made clam chowder that’s rich without being heavy, perfectly beer-battered cod, a warm crab roll that tastes like it came straight off the dock, and yes… the warm chocolate chip cookie deserves its own mention.

Rain or shine, this is the kind of place you go when you want honest, well-done seafood that lets the ingredients speak for themselves. If you’re up north and love fresh PNW flavors, put this on your list. They’ve only been open a few weeks, and it already feels like a spot that’s going to stick around for a long time.

Highly recommend checking them out and supporting a great new local opening.

Still glowing from the past week’s events. O’Trees was a meaningful opportunity for our team at ZCDC. Our Christmas Under the Big Top tree helped raise $7,500 with support from Arnold & Porter. For every tree that sold for $5,000, they contributed an additional $2,500, which expanded the impact in an important way.

The tree was purchased by Paul Evasick and his wife, in partnership with Callette Nielsen. Connecting after the auction to introduce myself and hear their stories, made the experience so personal and memorable. They were also able to choose where their tree would be placed, and they selected Providence Elder Care West. It was the perfect fit.

Providence Elder Care West provides long-term care, memory support, and restorative services for older adults. Their team creates a safe, dignified, and community-focused environment for residents and families. It was an honor to bring something joyful into their space and meet the team.

Installing the tree this past Thursday was a full-circle moment for me. I had finished fluffing the tree and was crouched under the branches plugging in the lights, and received a little round of applause from residents. It was a truly meaningful experience to see each and everyone of them genuinely excited about the tree.

Feeling grateful to have been included, extremely proud of what we contributed and excited to make this an annual tradition for years to come!🎄

🎄✨ We’re honored to share some holiday cheer for a cause that means so much. ✨🎄

When a close friend called asking if we wanted to be a volunteer designer for Providence’s Annual O’Christmas Trees Celebration, we were both honored and thrilled for the opportunity to give back.

This event holds a special place in our hearts — my Auntie, Sister Maria Ybarra, lived at Mount St. Vincent Providence for many years, dedicating her life to caring for others. We’re proud to use our design talents to support a community built on kindness, service, and hope. ❤️

Excited to share that I’ll be serving as the Chair of Social Media for the ILEA Seattle Chapter for the 2025/2026 term!

We just wrapped up our annual planning retreat at the Hilton Garden Inn Redmond, and the past two days were filled with meaningful connection, big-picture brainstorming, and lots of laughs. We enjoyed an amazing dinner at Cactus Bellevue and put our teamwork to the test with some healthy competition at Reality Break Escapes.

The energy and creativity in the room has me so excited for the year ahead. We’ve got some incredible events and initiatives coming your way!
