Friends, Followers, Clients, and Supporters,

It has been a pleasure working with you and being your go-to communications consultant for the past 14 years. I have learned a lot, gained new friends, worked with some incredible agencies and sole proprietorships, watched many of you grow in your business and so much more.

I am slowly transitioning out of my work as an Independent Communications Consultant to focus more on my work in real estate and other associated work obligations.

I will be shutting down my SLM Consulting (social language media) FB page here in the next two weeks.

I want to share a little about my latest client who just so happens to be in the real estate business, a vocation I too have recently gotten back into.

I have been working with a Broker who has been in the industry over 20 years on writing her Brand Script and undergoing a re-brand. It has been such a joy watching her both conceptualize and realize her “true” brand and seeing it unfold in authentic narrative and beautiful imagery. She has been extremely successful in her work and looks to build on that success to become a Trusted Community Market Leader.

Attached are just a few highlights of the imagery and a small personal testament of her Brand. I look forward to sharing the final Brand package once complete the middle of next month.

Brief segment of her brand narrative:

More than a century ago, the great scientist Louis Pasteur said "Chance favors only the prepared mind." By this, he meant that sudden flashes of insight don't just happen, but are the product of preparation. According to Kounios, "We have begun to understand how the brain prepares for creative insight. This will hopefully lead to techniques for facilitating it."

A wonderful piece written by Jeff Fromm, a Forbes CMO Network contributor on the 'Impact of Purpose on Brand Performance'.

He interviews Bill Theofilou, Global Growth & Corporate Strategy Lead at Accenture and includes this interview segment by Theofilou which really stood out to me...

"everyone's brand is being redefined right now based on their actions; the actions of leadership, the actions of employees, the actions companies are taking, and it's really leading to a remarkable reset of what your brand stands for in business today.” In fact, research shows “consumers and employees alike are discerning and will notice the brands that have a strong purpose and act on it.”

This is powerful!

I cannot express enough the importance of writing a 'Brand Script', a communications piece that fundamentally solidifies ' your story' into a tactical format especially when considering the principles outlined about. Educators, Tatiana Kolovo, and Brenda Bailey- Hughes did a wonderful job at defining the 5 major skills to 'effective listening' and presented several 'best' and 'worst' practices to adhere to.

I highly recommend tuning in and listening to this course.
