Thank you Kevin. Thank you for everything you did for the PA, all the local support for local music, everything. You’ll be missed so much.

KISW lost a member of the family this week, Kevin Diers.

Kevin has been a part of the family here at The Rock after winning a contest to host Metal Shop with his friend an co-host Ian Reas. He later went on to be the long time host of Loud and Local as well. Kevin brought infectious enthusiasm and passion for everything he did. Especially Seattle music, the metal scene and pro wrestling. Local musicians and metal fans lost one of their biggest champions and we all lost a dear friend.

Listen for special episodes of Metal Shop and Loud & Local this weekend as we pay tribute to our brother Kevin Diers.

We miss you already.

It’s the last show tonight (for a while) and that makes me a little sad. Ok, more than a little. This band has been constantly in the background of writing sessions, folding parties, road trips, late night zine formatting, shower beers, and BBQs. They have consistently put out banger after banger, and are one of the best live bands around, period. Ive seen them in three states, they’ve seen a million faces, and they’ve rocked them all. You owe it to yourself to see them if you haven’t, and if you have then you know how much fun tonight will be. Thanks for everything Sandrider.

If you’re headed to the show at Climate Pledge tonight, get there early for this. I’ll be there with some records and cassettes for sale for my day job (Silver Platters), full of records everyone should own. I picked them myself, and even added some records by local favorites like and lots more. I’ll even hold them for you at the store of your choice so you don’t have to carry them all night, or I’ll mail them right to you.

You didn’t ask, we didn’t listen. The Seattle Passive Aggressive is back, coming to a landfill near you this Winter.
