After 38 Business & Humanitarian Awards dinners, we've seen a lot of incredible things take place during this event. But last night was probably one of the most awesome evenings in GSBA history. In an era when it's challenge to just get through the morning's news every day, coming together to celebrate those in our community who've led us through these dark times is all the more moving and revitalizing. Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal kicked off our night with a rallying cry of a speech that had the whole room on its feet, and the inspiring Lt. Governor Cyrus Habib followed with powerful words which fueled us for the rest of the evening. We are so thankful to our amazing sponsors who made Justice For All: 38th Annual Business & Humanitarian Awards Dinner possible, including our Title Sponsor WellsFargo and Presenting Sponsor Vulcan Inc.aninc, our hosts Seattle Marriott Waterfront, and our tireless crew of volunteers.
And of course, thank you and congratulations to all of our finalists and recipients of the evening: New Business of the Year Aluel Cellars, Green/Sustainable Business of the Year InterChange Media, Community Leader of the Year Monisha Harrell of Equal Rights Washington, Lifetime Achievement Award Recipient Justice Bobbe J. Bridge of Center for Children & Youth Justice - CCYJ, Board Chair's Award Recipient Barry Faught of Broadcast Coffee Roasters, Jorge Barón and his team at Nonprofit of the Year Northwest Immigrant Rights Project, Business Leader of the Year Kate Beck of Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, Business of the Year TomboyX, and our Special Recognition honoree Justice Mary Yu.
