We're very excited to share that Motivo had the opportunity to produce a documentary in Poland a few months ago with the University of Notre Dame.

The film follows a cohort from the McGrath Institute for Church Life Science & Religion Initiative on a pilgrimage, exploring the intersection of faith, science, and the problem of evil.

The intention is to capture a narrative that resonates with both the faithful and the questioning, guided by moments of beauty, grace, and the resilience of hope, even in the darkest places.

Scroll to see some of the initial frames from footage shot by the fantastic DP Nick Staresinic.

The short documentary is coming soon...

Our team recently traveled to Utah Valley University with the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression (FIRE) to film a short documentary examining free speech and the broader climate surrounding political violence. We spoke with faculty, students, and staff about their experiences and perspectives, and filmed a lecture by Greg Lukianoff, FIRE’s President and CEO.

We’re grateful to FIRE for inviting us to take part and to everyone who shared their time and insight on such a polarizing and sensitive topic.

Stay tuned for the mini-doc and, in the meantime, here's a link to Greg's thought-provoking and profound lecture:

We recently produced a 3-part short documentary series called "Shaped: A Journey Through Invisible Boundaries," which explores the hidden rules that quietly shape our world. From fuel economy standards to AI policy to the future of MDMA-assisted therapy, this series pulls back the curtain on how regulation influences everyday life in ways most of us never notice.

Check out the series trailer and stay tuned for the full episodes.

We’re thrilled to announce that "The Art of Inflation", an original production from the Moving Picture Institute and produced in association with Motivo Media, has been officially selected for the Oscar®-qualifying Indy Shorts International Film Festival in Indianapolis!

Filmed outside of Bogotá, Colombia, this piece was a huge labor of love and incredible learning experience, which makes it all the more rewarding to receive this recognition.

Tickets are now available at www.IndyShorts.org to watch "The Art of Inflation" virtually or to join us in person THIS SATURDAY, July 26th at 1pm at Living Room Theaters for a special screening and filmmaker Q&A with Director Brett Wietecha and Producer/Motivo CEO Tim Hedberg.
