'Predator: Badlands' is a badass pivot for the long-running sci-fi/action franchise, making one of the titular killer aliens the POV character this time around. Director Dan Trachtenberg can keep making these things forever.

A movie review of 'Predator: Badlands' directed by Dan Trachtenberg and starring Dimitrius Koloamatangi and Elle Fanning.

Amongst my favorite working directors, Yorgos Lanthimos has a way of poking at how we perceive reality that is unsettling, absurdist, and deeply satirical, and with ‘Bugonia’ he applies an unsettling sci-fi edge to further knock us off-kilter. Emma Stone, shaved head and all, is great, but Jesse Plemons proves once again that he too is one of the greats.

A film review of 'Bugonia' directed by Yorgos Lanthimos and starring Jesse Plemons, Emma Stone, and Aiden Delbis.

It hits expanded theaters this Friday.
