Hey everyone! We’re excited to share something we’ve been building at SiM!
We are launching Virtual Dreams, a FREE spring immersive technology workshop series designed to support underserved youth and first-time creators breaking into VR, AR, and XR.

Please share and help spread the word to students who may be interested.
We are also currently seeking additional industry professionals to mentor and support participants.
• Begins March 21
• Meets every Saturday
• Culminates in a public showcase on June 6
• Fully funded no tuition required
• No prior experience needed
• All equipment and tools provided

Virtual Dreams is a fully funded, 12-week hands-on creative program from SIM created in partnership with AGOG and curriculum support from
Locusium - Virtual Reality Event Production
Designed primarily for creators ages 16–24, Virtual Dreams gives participants the opportunity to work directly with game and tech industry professionals to design and build their own AR, VR, and XR projects from concept to completion.
We also welcome applicants of any age if space allows, and we are especially committed to supporting underserved communities and first-time creators who may not have had access to immersive technology before.
Participants will gain real industry knowledge and leave with a complete, portfolio-ready immersive project centered on culture, storytelling, and social impact.
We are also seeking additional industry mentors. If you are a professional interested in supporting emerging creators, honorariums are available for those who need them.
Seattle Interactive Media Lab (SIM) is an independent, inclusive nonprofit (501c3) community space in Seattle focused on game development, interactive media, and emerging technology.
