Studio apt. Tips?

Just got here. Dont really have a table just yet. Thinking of some sort of folding table, in the area between the coach and closet (where my bag is). Like it if 4 people could potentially eat at it. Kinda would also like it to have a chair that can join the couch when watching tv (which I dont have yet). But space is limited. Any ideas? I also like a rug, a large plant, etc.

Almost two years in my apartment

The last time I posted my apartment, it was probably only a handful of months after I moved into it. Naturally, I’ve updated a few things here and there.

It’s finally at a point where I feel like there isn’t much I’d like to change about it. I do plan on updating the art pieces above my bed and getting a properly sized rug (when my bank account allows it), but other than that I’m pretty happy with how it turned out.

Also, I use Lightroom to edit my photos. I have a few presets that I’ve gotten over the years and made some tweaks to in order to create the cloudy/dreamy look. I feel like it should be noted that this is not what my place looks like on a daily basis. I’ve obviously cleaned it and put things back where they belong lol.

Living in my dad’s basement because I just got out of federal prison lol.

I just got out of prison after serving 18 out of 31 months for a drug charge. I am very thankful to have somewhere to be. A lot of people get out and have nothing. Although im living in a basement, on a s**tty futon, this is like luxury to me after prison.

I am extremely fortunate. to have a dad who’s letting me stay here to get back on my feet.

I’m going to make another post a couple years from now when I buy my own home, and the contrast will be crazy.

This post is mostly because I find it funny, I want to be able to laugh about my hardships. Although s**t sucks, it’s only going to get better.

Edit: I forgot to include, i got out 2 months ago, I’m still on house arrest for another month. I can’t move freely yet.

Also 90% of what’s in the room is stuff I owned before I went to jail, all the furniture, clothes, shoes, computer, monitors etc. was at my apartment when I got arrested and I got bond and eventually moved it all here.

What would you call this type of marble? Is it too trendy?

Loved the warm look of this marble, a different take on checkerboard. All I can seem to find is Rojo Alicante which seems very red.
