Awkward space- what to do?

Wife hates cabinet colors

Need help deciding on cabinet color to paint, I was thinking accessible beige? But feel like that would provide little contrast across the house. I can tell she doesn't like dark furniture already.

Builder wouldn't let us pick cabinets. She doesn't like the color, they're supposed to be espresso but comes off as black under most lighting. She likes the counter tops so I offered getting the cabinets painted.

Her style in decor is "cozy" which to her seems to be beiges and creams.

First picture is the kitchen taken from the breakfast table spot

second is the kitchen with the view of the living room

third is a picture of the couches under good lighting at the store to show the color

Rest is some of Sherwin Williams and Benjamin Moores greige pallette of color's we were interested in

Looking for color recommendations. Greige does seem like a good palette but open to all ideas not just our own. I also don't want the problem where the cabinets start blending into the walls too much.

How to make these three walls less awkward? I feel like I’m bathing in a box!

Hello!

I just moved into a new spot (renting!) and this bathtub situation has me pretty stumped. This is my first time ever trying to make a place feel like a home, so I have no idea or where to start or what to do.

The shower is a little cell off the side, so this is purely a bathing area, which I guess gives me a lot more of freedom to decorate it in certain ways since water won’t be splashing all over and is contained.

I have a cute pink strawberry shower curtain I’ll be putting up soon, but that doesn’t help with still feeling like I’m being boxed or caged in. (In fact it almost makes it worse?) I love baths but this area has got me avoiding them because it just feels like it has a dark/unsettling energy 😂😂😂

What would you do with these three random walls? Shelves for cute bath stuff maybe?

I want it to feel more welcoming and cozy
33(m) divorced with a kiddo in elementary who I have every other weekend. The main reason I want to improve this space is for them, but also want to invite people over once I make some new friends. I am hoping for more of a cozy/warm/secure vibe, and i think that it currently feels a bit sparse and single dude-ish. I’m on a limited budget for now, but I have a few plants and am modestly skilled at crafts and art. I’m thinking I’ll have to create my own decor, but would love to hear ideas about what could improve my living room. TV over the fireplace on the left side of the picture, kitchen is beyond the doorway in the middle. Pic was taken from the entry. I don’t know how else to rearrange the furniture, but am open to anything that might make it a more inviting space.

Powder Blue bathroom help

I am stuck with this tile and tub. Small upstairs hall bathroom. Had the wallpaper taken down and painted it plain ole pure white. Trying to clean it good -going to try my hand at grouting. HELP, painting is not an option.

My boyfriend and I just moved into a rental house with nothing but brown paneling and wood floors. I am not good at decorating or bringing a space to life as it is, but I am at a total loss of how to decorate/brighten this space up. We’ve already asked to paint and were told no, unfortunately. I have no idea how to go about putting things on the walls or what color shelves to have or anything.

Would really appreciate a coffee table recommendation!!

Also disclaimer, Ik our couches are not appealing but as recent college grads it is what it is.

Hello!

I'm trying to pick a rug for my home office, and have tentatively narrowed it down to these options. For context, I'm planning on making some other changes to the room, including re-upholstering the daybed (likely burgundy), painting the ceiling white and the walls non-white, and getting a new desk (likely mid-century, probably teak), as well as smaller decorative changes.

I gravitate towards Persian rugs, especially red ones, but interestingly after making these mockups I'm intrigued by #3, the earth tone one. I think it adds some nice texture and pattern to the room without being overwhelming. However, I am worried about it being too muted, and potentially not going well with the daybed if I do re-upholster it burgundy. With the red rugs, I'm worried about them being overwhelming, and potentially being too much red with a burgundy daybed. The rugs vary from 5'x7'-7'x7' (the space itself is ~7.5'x7.5'), I've tried to accurately reflect the dimensions in the mockups.

Thank you in advance for your help, and I'm also open to any other suggestions/ideas for the room!

Blank Space Ideas

I’m a single man with no eye for decorating. Hoping for some help. My home decor is pretty sparse and I’m ok with that but this space looks really bare. Some have described my style as modern rustic. I like wood and iron. What could I put here? The space is roughly 2 ft by 5 ft. I look forward to ideas!
