In the midst of the muddy floodwaters, when everyone thought the house was empty, the K9 dog suddenly stopped in front of a dark corner. It sniffed hard, barked urgently, then rushed to scratch continuously at the half-submerged wooden cabinet door.

Behind that cabinet door… was a 3-year-old girl, cowering and trembling, barely able to cry.

No one could see her — but the dog did. And thanks to that loyal nose, a small breath was kept in the midst of nature's fury.
