Remmi would've been 12 today. And I'm in my feels and the void feels like a vacuum on these anniversary days...all the things we never got to do..all the birthdays that were never celebrated..hell I only got to spend 24 days with my daughter...we barely knew eachother and the time we did get was wrought with chaos. It's a loss that can never be forgotten or will ever really heal...but I've gotten really good at carrying it. It's the little things that really pain me now like realizing there is not a single picture of me holding her. So today it's ok if I lean in to it..I've still got a mountain of grief I'm climbing but tomorrow it's back to business as usual until the 26th cause I have kids I'm blessed enough to continue raising...but the 26th that's the really hard one...the day my daughter just slipped out of the world of the living and over to the otherside while I was asleep next to her...that's a hurt that's gonna ache for the remainder of my living years but I really am learning that grief is all the love you have for a person with no place to go.
