Friends, a US judge has ruled that Mahmoud Khalil can be deported for his views. If the gov’t can do this to Mahmoud, a lawful permanent resident of the US, they can do it to you. Even if you can’t be deported, it would appear that you can be detained indefinitely without due process. There’s nothing abstract about this. This is real. Is this the country you want to live in? If not, the time to speak out is now! If you live in or near Seattle please join me at this protest tomorrow, Sunday.

Just a reminder that Cory Booker, the Dems hero of the moment, voted yes to send more bombs to Israel. I agree with him that it’s not about right or left, it’s about right or wrong. He was deadly wrong on this vote and it’s shameful. I saw more than one “Cory 2028” sign at yesterday’s massive Hands Off rally in Seattle. This is what he voted for 😞

Hey everyone, here's more info about the Carla Torgerson, Rich Brisbois & Jon Hyde show that's happening in just a couple of weeks at the fabulous Conor Byrne Pub down in Ballard, USA.

This is a special show! Carla and Rich are both celebrating new albums and this is the first show Carla has performed in Seattle with her band GEMS. Opening the festivities is Jon Hyde and his band who have been playing some amazing shows of late. Rich's band the Haiku Mavericks features Katy & James Palmer, Bruce Wirth, Michael Wells, Jon Hyde and Kevin Warner.

Lots of great music to enjoy at Conor Byrne on Sat. March 29th!!!

Welcome to Drums & Wires

In the tradition of artist-run record labels like Merge and Barsuk Records, Drums & Wires Recordings grew from a scrappy, artist owned and operated music management company called D&WA launched in 2010 with the aim of promoting our own music and the music of our friends and fellow travelers.

Our friends make up a diverse and vibrant music scene that thrived in Seattle's Belltown district but has since moved to the outer boroughs of the city and beyond... and we've made new friends along the way.

As the boundary between record label and artist management becomes ever more blurred, we've evolved into a hybrid online mail-order catalog and record label dedicated to a small community of artists whose music we think you should hear.
