Someone has a new song to share with you.
So, I tried my hand at the Challenge for the first time. Which is if you don’t know, is to Write, Record, and Release a song within the month of September. The notion to try hit me on Sept 2nd. I was able to draft out the lyrics within 30 minutes. To which I thought this might be possible. On the 3rd of Sept. I was able to workout some rough chord progressions to fit the lyrics. Many many many many edits later, even while recording edits continued until it finally worked it’s self out. On Sept 18th I was able to get it recorded. I was able to work out a rough mix to which I am not a sound engineer. I then uploaded it to my distributor amuse to find that I had forgotten that I needed 14 days if I were to select the release date. This would have put the song 3 days into October as a release date. I was not sure if I should just let it go for about 30 minutes, I wasn’t sure what to do. I looked at the release details one more time to find a “release now” section I had overlooked. So, I tried it, thinking/hoping it might take 2-7 business days. Created a “Coming Soon” short mp3 as an attempt get the word out. Less then 5 hours later it was officially released for a release date of Sept 19th. Within 17 days I was able put this all together to create this new song titled “Don’t Let Time Pass You By” it’s rough around all the edges at the same time putting out a solid message.
